it's okay einstein, i've got this whole relativity thing covered. [22 Dec 2009|02:41am] sarcazm i went back into my archives and as it turns out i arrived in dallas on the evening of june 29th. that being said, i'll have been here a total of six months next tuesday. and yet i still have these feelings, quite often actually, like i just got here, and am only visiting. it feels impermanent, temporary to say the least, and it comes as a shock to the system when i stop and think about it. but i am a bit of a gypsy after all. the concept of "home" has always been abstract at best. but here i am, nearly six months into my life here. i wonder when it will finally begin to sink in that i actually live here now, as opposed to being on an extended vacation from new york? . * 3 rowwrrs ?. *

I GOTS MAILS! [15 Dec 2009|01:14pm] sarcazm thank you thank you thank you gloomchen and parageek for your wonderful christmas gift, which i just finished setting up in my closet. it is now a far more organized closet. i look forward to the day when salem decides he thinks he can fit in the hanging shelving unit, on top of my cashmere sweaters no doubt. i will kill him. i can easily find the mates to my shoes now instead of hunting all over the closet floor and i have a bag for dry cleaning that isn't the size of a corpse, which frees up that bag for a corpse (among other things). and having those collapsible storage boxes made it possible for me to finally stop using one of my original moving boxes to house my socks and underwear. yeah i was keeping it classy. ah so awesome. in the process of straightening that up further i even found my favorite LBD which apparently had gotten crushed and crinkled and mixed in with one of my blankets, so now that can go to the cleaners, and if i have some sort of upscale function to attend i won't have to go looking for a new one. organization is key. soooooo happy. thank you! . * 1 rowwrr ?. *
